Tej Kumar, India
Hello everyone, I am Tej Kumar Pradhan from Ranchi, India. My journey with lung cancer began in October-November 2020, when I started experiencing a persistent cough. Initially, I visited several physicians and was prescribed traditional medicines, but the cough never went away. After a few months, I decided to seek care at a larger facility, where they suggested a CT scan. The results showed spots on my lungs, and they recommended a biopsy. A month later, I was diagnosed with lung cancer in February 2021. Since then, I’ve been on Tragisso for treatment.
Throughout this experience, I’ve realized the power of social interaction. I actively connect with others who are also living with cancer, drawing motivation from their stories. iI am a part of Lung Connect India Foundation. However, it’s impossible to ignore the uncertainty of life and the financial strain that comes with the expensive treatment. I often worry about how long I can afford my medication, but I try my best to remain positive.
I’ve returned to my routine as a teacher, which helps keep my mind occupied and away from negative thoughts. I believe that maintaining a positive mindset is crucial for my well-being and recovery. Mental strength plays a significant role in navigating this journey, and I’ve learned to focus on my family, my students, and my health.
I urge everyone to work on their thought process and avoid collecting negativity from others. Take care of your body and cherish the moments with loved ones. Mental strength can help you stay happy, even on the toughest days.
