Hello everyone, I am Paresh Shah from Gujarat, India. I was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2018. Initially I was very broken to hear that I have cancer, I had tears. But since then, I never cried because I believe that no one will live forever. I hear so many people dying of accident, heart attack everyday. I have made up my mind that I have been diagnosed with some disease which will give me time to live my life to the fullest! I have a very supportive family who tell me that when the day will come, no one can refrain you from going but till then let us fight with the situation. I am taking treatment from TMH, Mumbai. I have taken chemotherapies and radiation. I had lost almost 10 kgs of weight but my wife kept on saying that you have to eat or else there is no way out. I want to tell all patients that we do not feel like eating but we have to eat our normal diet. Currently, I am under targeted therapy. I feel like we must be busy in life with whatever strength we have to avoid negative thoughts. However, always avoiding negative thoughts is not possible so I am with Lung Connect India Foundation- a patient support group where I find more people like me. In this journey, we have to find people with whom we can share our hardships and keep the fire of life ignited!
