Cancer is a roller-coaster, a whirlpool of emotions, an ocean of suffering. Life with cancer is precious, fragile, demanding, overwhelming, sometimes bright. Each little step against cancer deserves a celebration, the celebration of life, giving a new meaning and understanding of every detail that makes up the patients’ and their carers’ universes. There are no identical days when cancer stepped into somebody’s life. Despair, fight, happiness, fight again, again and again, tears, then … silence, until there are no more tears to cry.

My mother was a brave fighter, but even brave fighters become tired and have to rest.
