My empathy and compassion became heightened, when I discovered that I was not only helping women through recovery and healing, but that I was an instrument to helping them and their entire families - loved ones by transforming their confidence and care, during a challenging moment.
To get a call from a spouse who was seeking our care interventions, to help their beloved wife to feel whole again through our care solutions, or to hear the voice of an empowered daughter or son, saying that they now felt safer seeing their mother emerging as a new version of herself with an unparalleled joy - continues to encourage me to do the work.
Not only does it leave me exceedingly humbled and grateful, it helps me to identify new ways to enhance care, create more solutions, advance the curation of our education programs and increase impact.
Decades later and I'm ever so grateful to see the courage, hope and resilience of the women who have trusted me and become not just patients, but my sister friends.
