This sketch means a lot to me. On one hand, I see in it the clinging to the hand of life, and on the other hand, it reminds me of everyone who supported me during my illness.
In moments of illness, when the days seemed heavy and the nights long, the true support became the ray of light that illuminated the darkness of the journey. Breast cancer is not just a medical battle, but it is a test of will and strength, where psychological and emotional support becomes an integral part of the treatment.
The image summarizes this journey with all its challenges and hope. It is the hand of a mother reassuring her daughter, the hand of a brother whispering with confidence, "I am here," and the hand of a friend who removes the loneliness of the difficult days. In this hand lies the meaning of true healing, not only in physical treatment but in the feeling that I am not alone on this path.
In the beginning, the diagnosis felt like an earthquake that shook the foundations of life. Fear, anxiety, and endless questions: "Will I be able to survive?", "How will I endure the treatment?", "What will happen to my family?". But amidst this storm, hands appear extending with love, hands that say, "You are strong, you are not alone."
The sketch is a symbol of this strength, of this support that makes the journey possible. It is the hand of everyone who accompanied me in every chemotherapy session, and the hand of my friends in the NABD-BC2 Association, which in turn contributed to this hope.
I will never forget the contribution of the NABD-BC2 Association to this hope. It is a fundamental pillar in the treatment journey, providing the psychological, social, and medical support I need through workshops and outings. For me, this association is a refuge for me and my fellow patients, a refuge that makes me forget the suffering of the disease.
The role of the NABD-BC2 Association is not limited to awareness and early detection, but extends to providing hope and strengthening self-confidence for every patient who is fighting this battle, which reduces the feeling of loneliness and fear.
Through this hand, I would like to thank everyone who supported me on this journey, and I extend my special thanks to Professor Ikram for her efforts and sacrifices for our comfort. May you continue to shine in your life and in your charitable career. May God help you with every good deed.
