Mildred, Nigeria

I speak for my mom unfortunately she's late now but it wasn't cancer that killed her. I want to speak of her story.

My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer  in 2008

She had a mastectomy done that year

All through the chemo and radiation, she stood strong and never let cancer stop her,she was always a very purpose driven woman.

Abt 10 yrs later, she was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer

She had chemotherapy and radiation

She also had a total hysterectomy .

My mom didn't let us our children know her pain and that was painful bcos I wished she did.

Slowly,she became recovering

And  put on weight slowly

She worked very hard to get herself back

She got a promotion

Got a better job offer and moved states to advance her career

She never let cancer stop her

Mom I love u

And I truly admire ur resilient spirit
