In July 2023, three months before my 42nd birthday, I was diagnosed with stage 4 oesophageal cancer. The prognosis was poor. The cancer inoperable. I was told I might have as little as 2 months.
The first thing I did was sign the consent form for treatment. The second thing I did was type ‘has anyone survived terminal cancer‘ into a search engine and what I read gave me hope. Hope that I could live longer than expected. Hope that I could do the unexpected.
18 months on and I'm doing really well. I'm still living with cancer but using a combination of conventional treatments and radical changes to my diet and lifestyle I feel as though I'm thriving.
