In 2017, I began my professional journey at Baheya Foundation, and that marked the beginning of something far greater than just a job. It was the launch of a transformative experience that would reshape my entire life. Upon arriving at Baheya, I immediately sensed that it was not simply a medical facility, but rather a sanctuary that represents treatment, hope, and solidarity. This realization solidified my decision to become an integral part of the training management team.

As the person responsible for physician training, my role at Baheya revolved around developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for physicians across various medical departments. These programs focused on the latest scientific approaches to breast cancer treatment, including advanced techniques such as positron emission tomography (PET) scans and genetic testing. However, my primary focus lay beyond just passing on scientific knowledge. It focused on providing training to physicians on how to interact with patients in a compassionate and humane manner. At Baheya, we firmly believed that treatment contained more than just medication; it also involved providing the necessary psychological and emotional support that must accompany medical care. This is because each patient represents more than just a medical case; they are individuals with unique life stories filled with challenges and hope.

My time at Baheya provided me with opportunities to acquire knowledge that went beyond medical treatment methods. I learned what it truly meant to be part of something larger than myself, a mission that exceeded the boundaries of a mere job. Every day, I witnessed the selfless sacrifices and unwavering commitment of the medical team, and I constantly reflected on how we could contribute to improving the lives of the courageous women battling cancer. Each patient I encountered was navigating a difficult phase in their lives, but at the same time, I witnessed the unwavering hope in their eyes, and this became a constant source of inspiration for me.
