Belinda Wagner: A Story of Strength, Advocacy, and Living with Purpose

In 2016, Belinda Wagner faced a life-altering diagnosis: angiosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. What started as bronchitis symptoms led to months of misdiagnoses, invasive tests, and surgeries before she finally received clarity. Despite undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, and multiple surgeries, including a complex operation in London, Belinda never allowed cancer to define her.

Even in the midst of treatment, Belinda remained committed to her career as a life coach, marketing consultant, facilitator, and lecturer. Knowing that work gave her purpose, she continued to engage with students, coach clients, and even presented her doctorate proposal while undergoing treatment—an achievement that speaks to her unwavering determination.

Her battle with cancer sparked a passion for advocacy, leading her to establish Living with Cancer, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting cancer patients and survivors. In 2019, she took her mission further by launching a patient-led cancer registry, a pioneering initiative designed to improve cancer data tracking and patient care in South Africa.

Today, while she still undergoes regular medical management, Belinda chooses to live life fully and authentically. She believes in making every day count, appreciating the small moments, and helping others find strength through their own cancer journeys. Her story is not just one of survival, but of purpose, advocacy, and resilience—proving that even in the face of life’s biggest challenges, it’s possible to take control, create change, and inspire others.
