Good day. I am writing this story on behalf of my mum Sushilla Singh of Durban Kwa Zulu Natal who was diagnosed with cancer in September 2021. She had to undergo an emergency operation and thereafter start chemotherapy. It was the most trying times for us as a family as i was also fighting a divorce for almost 7 years and whenever my mum went for her blood test, her blood count would be low and she would have to be admitted in hospital for blood transfusion because of my extra stress of the divorce proceedings. Thankfully after almost 8 sessions of chemotherapy she is recovered and still goes for her regular screenings and still continues with her medication. She is my inspiration and knowing that prayer during the most trying times of your life is of utmost importance. For my mum it has been a long road to recovery and she embraced what she went through. There was never a day that she was embarrassed to go out into the public after she had lost all her hair. Early detection is so important and we are grateful to God, our family and friends who stood by us through the most trying times. To everyone out there who is fighting cancer know that Cancer CAN be beaten. God Bless
