When I was told that I had cancer on July 16, 2024 my entire world flipped upside down.  I was scared and I had no idea what was going to happen to me.  The worst part was having to wait for the opportunity to get a biopsy and have a clear picture of what we were dealing with.  Nobody should have to wait for that as in some cases like mine, time is of the essence.  Once I was able to make decisions based on the facts of my diagnosis, I began to feel somewhat empowered against this terrible disease.  I have become proud to be a part of a community that supports and understands people facing a cancer diagnoses.
