Details

A total of five speakers including one of is professor of public health will present their experiences and knowledge. Hüseyin Örün ,the moderator, will share UICC's social media posters' Turkish versions, explain the theme of the World Cancer Day for the term 2025-2027, express the aim of the Turkish Rare Cancers Platform, and share his experience as a former family caregiver. Prof. Dr. Sultan Eser, a professor of public health and Principal Investigator of the İzmir Cancer Registry the one of six hubs of WHO/IARC's GICR Project will explain current cancer facts and desired cancer control framework in Türkiye. Hilal Polat will share her story as a medical doctor living with a rare cancer. Yiğit Alkan will share his experience as a childhood cancer survivor. Yaren Uzel will mention about her experience as a family caregiver. Lastly, the launch of the Turkish translated version of the World Health Organisation's survey about lived experiences among people affected by cancer. Audiences will be able to ask their questions during the webinar, questions will be forwarded to the speakers at the end of the webinar.
